Pork & Pop for Charity

pork & pop for charity

Our fund raising Hog Roast, held on Friday 2nd September, was a huge success, and helped us to raise a total of £646 for the Macmillan cancer support charity, which we have supported for the past three years.

Holding the event on a Friday afternoon proved to be very popular, which was no surprise given that the sun was shining gloriously on Electric Wharf, and everyone was treated to a tasty hog roast, that was kindly donated by Ashley Walker of Hog Roast Hire and a thirst-quenching cider.

A number of our suppliers and colleagues generously donated prizes for the fund raiser, and we extend our thanks to them for helping to make it such a success.

The Macmillan charity does some fantastic work in helping people affected by cancer. Their support is invaluable, and most people these days have had some experience of the work they do. Nursing care, counselling and just generally being there when you need them really helps cancer sufferers to deal with their illness, and nothing is too much trouble for a Macmillan nurse.

So, if you attended this event and gave your support, we thank you from the bottom of our heart. If you missed this event, then you can still donate here, and perhaps you will make to our next event.
